Sydney Business has been selected to provide training, services and small business facilitation under the following Government programs:
The NEIS is a Federal Government initiative that helps you become self-sufficient and independent by establishing a new small business.
This scheme is for people who are currently receiving an approved government benefit or who are aged over 50 and not on income support but are entitled to receive job search assistance.
Approved applicants will receive training in small business management, business skills and assistance to develop your business plan. A NEIS allowance and rental assistance can be provided by the Federal government to eligible applicants.
You will receive business advice and mentoring support in the first 12 months of your business operation.
![]() DET (State Government Department of Education and Training)†contracts RTOĆs (Registered Training Organisations) to provide courses in the area of Business and Info Technology. These courses may attract a small enrolment fee subject to government requirements.
The type of courses offered varies according to government funding requirement.

WIB funded by SARD (NSW Department of State and Regional Development)
This mentoring and training programme helps women (mentorees) who are the owners of emerging businesses to grow their businesses by linking them with experienced business people (mentors). WIB assists women to improve their business skills and confidence, and to successfully manage business growth by providing a combination of mentoring, practical sessions and networking opportunites.
